Hamid
Zanganeh,Ph.D
Hamid Zangeneh is professor of economics at Widener University, Chester,
Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
His areas of specialization are International Economics, Money and
Banking, and Macroeconomics. His current research interests revolve
around the challenges and opportunities of e-Commerce in this fast
evolving environment. His publications have appeared in, among others,
the Journal of Economic Education, Applied Economics, Public Budgeting
and Financial Management, Middle East Policy Journal, and Journal
of Iranian Research and Analysis. He co-edited (with Cyrus Bina),
Modern Capitalism and Islamic Ideology, St. Martin's Press, new York,
1992 and edited Islam, Iran, and World Stability, St. Martin's Press,
New York, 1994.
He has served as treasurer of the Middle East Economic Association
and as treasurer and executive director of the Center for Iranian
Research and Analysis, CIRA. He is currently editor of the Journal
of Iranian Research and Analysis.
