Kaveh
Nikpour
Kaveh Nikpour is a staff producer /director at KCSM TV/FM, one of
three San Francisco Bay Area PBS affiliates. He produces and directs
many of the stationÕs public affair programs such as ÒAuthors and
CriticsÓ which is a weekly half-hour program featuring interviews
with many notable nationally known authors. He also, directs "the
New California Media" , a weekly public affairs program focusing on
the news and issues of the ethnic community.
Kaveh recently finished his work as a co-producer/director on an award
winning 26-part telecourse titled ÒCareer AdvantageÓ. This series,
guides people (high school seniors to adults) who are planning to
start or change their careers. The series is being distributed nationally
by PBS Adult Learning Service. Kaveh started his professional career
in television in 1986 when he became the Director of Educational Access
Channel at Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He moved
to California in 1990 and worked as freelance Director/Videographer
for companies such as Hewlett-Packard Television Network and KTEH
TV, the San Jose PBS affiliate. In 1991, he Joined the staff of the
Telecourse Program at City College of San Francisco as producer/director
producing instructional programs for San FranciscoÕs Educational Access
Channel. He joined KCSM TV in 1994.
Kaveh holds a Bachelor degree from Iowa State University in Architectural
Design, and a Master's degree in community and Regional planning /Telecommunicative
Arts from Iowa State University in 1986. He started his television
career at Indiana- Purdue university in Fort Wayne , Indiana. He managed,
produced , directed programs for the Educational Access channel of
the community. He brings a great deal of his professional experience
from KCSM to all of his projects . He is also a Videographer, a photographer,
a graphic artist and a Calligrapher.
