Daryoush
Derakshandeh
Daryoush Derakshandeh was born in Esfahan, Iran, and migrated to the
U.S. in 1984.
He
has acquired extensive experience in the technical and media production
settings through work on a multitude of graphic projects, ranging
from print, to internet, and specially to video and motion graphics.
Through his involvement with eMotion and KCSM studios and various
other broadcasting projects, Daryoush has accumulated valuable
media skills by working with all different aspects of media production
and post-production.
Daryoush volunteers his time in the Iranian-American community through
assistance with cultural projects. Through funding from the Iranian
Federated Women's Club (IFWC), Daryoush as Executive Producer,spearheaded
an innovative television program, Payvand Magazine - a 30-minute
PBS style television series aimed at Iranian and Iranian-American
youth. Two full pilot segments of this series were broadcasted throughout
Northern California and more is being produced in the near future.
As a result of his versatility in the technical field and great
problem solving skills, Daryoush has had the opportunity to adapt
to a variety of positions such as Event Coordinator, Project Manager,
Editor, Web master, and Graphic Designer. Currently, he is the Art
Director for SiliconIran Magazine, siliconiran.com, and Iran Today
monthly newsletter. In his free time Daryoush loves editing and
co-producing music videos.
Daryoush
has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Arts with special emphasis
on Computer Graphics and 3-D Animation.
