Dr. Elazar Rabbani has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since the Company's inception in 1976 and has served as the Company's President from its inception to November 1996. Dr. Rabbani received his B.A. degree from New York University in Chemistry and his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Columbia University. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology. Elazar Rabbani is Shahram K. Rabbani's brother and Barry W. Weiner's brother-in-law.
