Kamyar
Shadan
Chief Operating Officer
Coherity Inc.
Mr.
Shadan was on Board of Directors of Coherity and closed funding
for the company in Oct of 2001. Post funding the Board of Directors
appointed Mr. Shadan to come on board in Oct of 2001 as COO, based
on his experiences in the unique business environment of emerging
companies and his entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
Prior
to joining Coherity, Kamyar was a founder of Tonerico Technology
Partners USA (HQ in Japan), specializing in consulting services;
CEO advisory, corporate strategy development, and venture capital/investment
bank relationship management. His clients included IQLabs, 4Points
Technologies, Vantel Technologies (VTECH Bombay). At IQ labs he
initiated, spear headed and lead the funding while working with
the CEO in redefining the business plan/strategy, recruited executive
team, and completed an over-subscribed VC round in April 2001 (Draper
Fisher, Early Bird Ventures, Draper Richards). Kamyar closed over
$16M in Venture capital funding within 6mos of 2001 for his portfolio
companies.
Previous
to Tonerico he co-founded and was the COO of Internet Technology
Group (ITG) in Silicon Valley where he built a unique operating
model as a holding company/incubator. He had established services
to his clients around operations, mergers and acquisitions for start
up companies and spin offs. Clients ranged from multi-national corporations,
such as JVC America as well as start up technology companies. At
JVC Mr. Shadan lead development of Business Plan, Revenue model
and Investment presentation with the JVC designated CEO of the new
technology venture. Prior to founding ITG, he worked at Morgan Stanley
for five years where he co-led development of a corporate investment
and special situation investment advisory team.
He
is currently serving as a Board Member of 4Points Technologies,
Tonerico Technologies, and University of Northern California Foundation.
Kamyar has a vast network in Government, Technology and the Financial
industries with a concentration in US, Japan, India, Portugal, and
UAE.
Kamyar
holds an Associate in Science degree in Bio-engineering, a Bachelors
degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology with a double minor
in peak performance and holistic health. Kamyar has also completed
studies in contracts along with other areas of Law at San Francisco
Law School.
Kamyar
was recognized as a Master instructor of Kung Fu in 1988. He serves
on the American Chinese Martial Arts Federation. He has been deputized
and contributes to the San Francisco Sheriff’s dept (Active)
& Marin County Sheriff’s Dept inactive (Mounted Search&Rescue).
He is a certified disaster manager by the Office of Emergency Services
(California), a member of the International Diplomacy Council, Software
Development Forum, United States Polo Association and serves on
the executive committee of Technology Empowerment Network among
other national and international organizations.
