Dr. Ketabchi was a Full Professor at the Computer Engineering Department of Santa Clara University, and the director of the Object and Multimedia Technologies Research Laboratory when he founded Savvion. He is well-known for his pioneering research in object-oriented database management systems and object-oriented application development technologies. He has published extensively in the various areas of object technology and its applications and has consulted with many companies including Computer Associates, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Fujitsu. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
