Iranian American Professional To Network At MIT In Boston And Boast Keynote Speaker and Panelists >From Verizon, Cisco, Motorola And National Semiconductor Amongst Many More

Menlo Park , Calif., September 28, 2003 - SiliconIran, the premiere business and technology information source on the high-tech industry for global Iran, hosted the Iranian-American Technology Forum (ITF) on September 27 at MIT in Boston. This was the first time SiliconIran holds the annual forum outside of the Silicon Valley. MIT Entrepreneurship Center sponsored this conference.

ITF is the leading information and networking event for Iranian executives in the high-tech industry and to those interested in tapping into this rich resource of high level executives coming together to exchange ideas. ITF 2003 served to bring together a diverse group of high technology executives to help promote and connect different communities throughout the United States by holding the event in the nation's top technical university.

The event targeted at Iranian and non-Iranian executives, entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers, as well as legal advisers, venture capitalists, policy makers, investment bankers, analysts, and members of the media. Holding the event at MIT allowed participants to network outside of the Silicon Valley and provide corporations with a rich professional pool of ideas and knowledge.

This year’s Master of Ceremony was Atefeh Riazi. Atefeh (Atti) Riazi is the Senior Partner and Chief Information Officer for Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide. Ogilvy and Mather is the 8th largest marketing communications agency in the world with 447 offices in 106 countries supporting more than 2,600 clients with billings totally some $13 billion. In her role as CIO, Atti overseas the global systems and infrastructure network supporting an integrated, cross-discipline organization providing marketing communications across all media.


ITF 2003 featured a variety of activities, including seminars, booths, panels and one-on-one meetings with leaders in the high-tech industry. ITF's goals include: to be an international forum for all Iranian high-tech professionals worldwide to exchange ideas, technology and information in the high-tech industry; to serve as a showcase for successful high-tech executives, companies and technology; to elevate the Iranian high-tech society globally; provide employment opportunities by putting talented engineers in touch with dynamic companies, to establish strong relationships among high-tech Iranians and other high-tech leaders globally, and to provide corporate communication tools to helps SiliconIran corporate members achieve successful relationship marketing, PR and advertising campaigns.
