Powerful Java Components Let Vendors Quickly Add Workflow, Business Rules, and Process Integration Capabilities to Enterprise Applications

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - June 5, 2001 Savvion, Inc., a pioneer in the development of Web-based workflow technologies, today announced a new OEM product and sales initiative that will allow software vendors to develop advanced Java applications more rapidly. Vendors can now quickly add the complete suite of Business Process Management capabilities including workflow, business rules, and process integration to their applications using embedded system components from Savvion.

Savvion is delivering its Embedded Solutions in direct response to continued market demand for e-business efficiencies. In addition to providing business process management to its enterprise customers with its BusinessManager platform, Savvion will now offer three embedded system components to OEMs. These J2EE and XML compliant components will allow vendors to quickly integrate advanced features into their applications, taking advantage of Savvion's proven business process management expertise to speed time to market and boost customer productivity.

• BizPulse Server, a business rule and event correlation engine that provides a powerful language for defining business rules, correlating business events, and initiating appropriate control actions based on rules defined
